Based on the adage: “Think Globally, Act Locally,” the EatingGreen™ program asks that you pledge to eat one day a month only ‘green’ foods – foods that have been minimally processed after harvesting – raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, honey, and water from the tap. EatingGreen™ will save energy used to commercially process foods, as well as for cooking the food. EatingGreen™ reduces the waste produced by processed food packaging – glass, plastic, paper, and metal.

At first glance, it might seem to be a difficult change to make, but be assured that once you have made the change, you will be surprised at the benefits of reduced cost, saved time, waste reduction, and a feeling of wellbeing. Remember, you and your family will be making a statement that you do care about our beautiful planet.
