Electric Skillet Cooking Method
We use a 12″ x 16″ Electric Skillet.
We use a two-step process of cooking:
Steam-Fry Vegetables: Turn the skillet on to medium high. Drizzle 1 teaspoon oil on the cooking surface. Add vegetables, spread evenly; drizzle 2 tablespoons water over vegetables, cover the skillet and let cook for 4 minutes (do not lift the cover, do not stir). This method of cooking lightly caramelizes the vegetables enhancing their sweetness and also provides a slight crunch, making the vegetables taste good. Using a wooden spatula, stir, turn, and push the vegetables to the farther half of the skillet, drizzle 1 tablespoon water over the vegetables.
Stir Fry Meat or Seafood: Drizzle 1 teaspoon oil on the half of the skillet closer to you, add meat or seafood, sprinkle seasoning; stir fry for 4 minutes.Stir and combine meat or seafood and vegetables, add Master Sauce; stir fry for 2 minutes, or until meat is cooked through.
All of this in about 10 minutes. Hooray!
